About Stoney Lonseome

Slim has hard at work on new music for his fans worldwide. After a slow patch during the summer, when Slim finds the desert heat not conducive to creative pursuits, Slim returned to the studio with a new vigor and optimism in late 2008. The album title was inspired by Slims recent trip back home, where he came across Stoney Lonesome Road a stone's throw from Lake Ontario. Slim has felt both stoney and lonesome in his life, and knew inspiration when he saw it.

  I Like You  Inspired by something I may or may not have heard on the radio (yes, you can actually still hear unscripted music sometimes on the radio dial). It morphed into something else, which is quite allright. But since most of the songs on SL are acoustic and simple, I wanted an upbeat pop song to lead things off here. This is perhaps the most Beatlesque song Slim has ever done. Available for listening on Slims GarageBand page.

Walking Down Stoney Lonesome Road  An instrumental that captures the bittersweet feeling of walking alone

Oh Honey Babe  Written and recorded in March, 2009, this new acoustic song delves deep into modern issues of love and relationships. Unlike many of Slims songs, this song came very quickly.

Sleepy Evening Blues  Slims first song of 2009 has a bittersweet feel. A reflection on the meaning of life, death, and time, it was mostly written while my sister was ill but was expected to recover. I was thinking at the time I was writing it that it might be something she would enjoy.  I put it aside after she died and just finished it in January 2009.

You'd Come See About Me  A brand new song from late October 2008; kinda has an Elvis feel to it, thinks Slim.

Born for Fun   This is completely true and a little-known fact about Slim

California is for Surfing  Who knows - Slim spends as much time as he can on the California coast, but his surfing days are probably over before they even began

Driving to Orgasm is a fairly new song, inspired by his recent trip to Rochester. While driving around one day, he heard part of a radio program on sexuality on the local public station - the guest expert, a Brit, described the act of love making in just this phrase and Slim thus had a song....
